We are a friendly PreSchool in the heart of Brockenhurst village, now on the site of Brockenhurst Primary School. Our children learn through play in a safe environment with caring, highly qualified staff.
After a busy year of fundraising, planning, and a lot of hard work we are thrilled to announce we are now based at our beautiful new home on the site of Brockenhurst Primary School. We now have a fantastic indoor and outdoor space to play in and explore, and are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us with our big move!
Take a look inside…

Community Brockenhurst PreSchool has been part of village life for more than 50 years and you will often see us out and about in the community – watching trains at the station, visiting the local care home or on a shopping trip to the village. We love being part of such a friendly village.
Play throughout the day We have a variety of activities both inside and out that are led by a teacher or the child. These include: water play, gardening, cooking, painting, games outside, role play, music, small world play, craft, and sensory play. Our activities are linked to topics, seasons and festivals through the year.
Our links to Brockenhurst Primary School We have always had strong
links to the Primary School, and now that we are based on the site there are so many benefits for our Preschool children. They will have the advantage of familiar surroundings, getting to know teachers and classrooms, and some will be on the same site as their older siblings. Our children will also have access to the wonderful facilities the school has to offer – the field, sensory garden, playground and more. The Primary Schools Breakfast and Afterschool Club will also make use of the Preschool’s room and outdoor area during non-Preschool hours on weekdays, allowing those children attending to also benefit from the fantastic space we have created.
Our curriculum We follow the Early Years Curriculum which tracks children’s progress from birth to the end of reception year in primary school. www.gov.uk/early-years-foundation-stage Within it there are age related expectations so children never work at a level that is not appropriate to his/her age and we differentiate all our activities in our setting. We teach children through stories, songs, games, experiences and play that match children’s abilities and interests.
Our team We have a wonderful team of highly qualified staff who provide a caring, fun, home-from-home environment for the children. They are committed to ensuring every child is happy, safe and that their individual needs are being met.
My daughter absolutely loves her time at Brockenhurst Preschool. The team are fabulous and provide such a warm, caring and nurturing environment for the children. It is such a lovely little community that we are thrilled to be a part of. Long may the good work continue.
