Autumn Update – November 2017

Autumn Update – November 2017

The children have been looking at relationships with their parents, siblings and friends. They have been talking about feeling good about themselves and appreciating others. As a group we have focused on each child to find out about what they enjoy and how we can develop that and take it a step further at Preschool.

The children will be encouraged to use a variety of questions and older children will explore tenses describing what they are seeing and doing in their world.  We have been exploring the weather on our planet and we are going on nature walks to explore natural materials. They have also been collecting and using these materials for making collages.

Shapes will be explored and some will look at the concept of measuring and using the shapes the children will also practice catching and throwing. Through circle time we come together to discuss the book of the week sometimes using puppets and books are explored further together with the child’s keyworker.

We are taking full advantage of the dry weather at the moment and the opening of the MUGA which all the children are loving as it gives us more space for physical development activities.
