Brockenhurst Pre School has been providing affordable, accessible early years eductaion and a nuturing home-from-home environment for Pre School aged children in Brockenhurst for over 50 years. In order to continue providing this service to the community our Pre School needs to grow, and we can do this by relocating to a new building and designated Pre School area within Brockenhurst C of E Primary School groundsThe
At Brockenhurst Preschool we are hoping to relocate to Brockenhurst Primary School in order to secure our future in the village. We are a community Preschool that has been running for over 50 years and want to ensure families in our village continue to have access to affordable, inclusive early years education.
Moving to a new dedicated building on the Brockenhurst Primary School site will mean significantly lower outgoings, plus a dedicated Preschool building with access to wonderful facilities and and the ability to offer longer hours. We have now reached £44,000 of our £60,000 target but still have £16,000 to go.
Our fantastic fundraising committee of Preschool parents had some great fundraising events planned for this year but sadly those events have of course had to be cancelled, and we find ourselves in a very challenging time for fundraising in general. However we know how much this move will benefit future children in our village, so we are determined to do our best to reach our goal.
With the the usual events now out of the question, we have had to think outside-the-box and come up with ideas that people can take part in from home – starting with The Brock Kids Art Show which was a lovely event showcasing the work of the creative kids in our village. We are now launching The Brock Village (*online) Bake Off, a baking competition open to all, with a special category for Most-Brockenhurst-Ish bake! The event is free to enter as we want everyone to be able to take part, but donations are very gratefully received via link at top of page. Entries from beyond Brockenhurst are very welcome, and we can’t wait to see what people have been baking! There is also a special challenge for ‘Most Brockenhurst-ish Bake’, which we are really looking forward to seeing! To enter, people simply need to send in up to 3 photos of their yummy creations to email@example.com, along with their name, what they have baked and a few lines about it. Deadline for entries Wednesday 3rd June, and their entries will be displayed in the Brock Village Online Bake Off tent which opens on Friday 5th June here on our website.
We are extremely grateful for the generosity and kindness shown to us by our village so far. It has been heartwarming to receive such a positive response to our plans, and to know that we have the support of our village.
